When you install GarageBand 10 or Logic Pro X, their collection of sounds, instruments, and loops might be missing.

This is normal since the installer needs storage beyond the size of the downloads that you install. The total space that's needed to perform the installation is shown at the bottom of the window. However, once the download is finished, the amount of space used will be the the size of just the downloads, not the larger number shown at the bottom of the window.

When you power up multiple Emagic MIDI interfaces, be sure to power up the unit connected to your computer last. If all the units are not recognized when you power up, make sure all the units are turned on, and then power cycle the first unit.
The issue can manifest in two ways:
If a bounce is performed in situations where the next playback would exhibit this issue, the resulting bounced file will also exhibit the unwanted audio snippets.

Before you reset user preferences, be sure to first review your MainStage preferences and note non-default settings you've chosen. When resetting the MainStage 3 preferences, these preferences will return to default. For more information on preferences, see Preferences overview in the MainStage 3 User Guide.
To reset your MainStage 3 user preference settings to their original state:
Or, you can quit MainStage, open Terminal, then execute this command:
defaults delete com.apple.mainstage3
After reseting the preferences to default, see if the issue still happens. If it's fixed, set your preferences back to how you had them and test again.
