The second way would be to use the DigiTest utility. It can be found in various places, depending on which versions of Pro Tools you have installed and whether you're using Mac or Windows.
Pro Tools 10 and higher:
- Mac - /Applications/Avid/Pro Tools/Pro Tools Utilities
- Windows (64-bit) - C:\Program Files (x86)\Avid\Pro Tools\Pro Tools Utilities\DigiTest
- Windows (32-bit) - C:\Program Files\Avid\Pro Tools\Pro Tools Utilities\DigiTest
Pro Tools 9 and lower:
- Mac - /Applications/Digidesign/Pro Tools/Pro Tools Utilities
- Windows (64-bit) - C:\Program Files (x86)\Digidesign\Pro Tools\Pro Tools Utilities\DigiTest
- Windows (32-bit) - C:\Program Files\Digidesign\ProTools\Pro Tools Utilities\DigiTest
Launch the DigiTest application and then click on the Slot Info tab at the top. Beneath the Slot Info tab, click on the drop-down menu to display all available cards in your Pro Tools HD system. Choose the card for which you would like to locate the serial number.
Once DigiTest refreshes it will display the information for the card that you selected. You will see the serial number listed under 'PCI CARD INFORMATION'.
