Pro Tools 12, Pro Tools 11 and Pro Tools 10 Co-install Support Information
Pro Tools 12.0-12.4 (or any version of Pro Tools 11.x) and Pro Tools 10.3.6 (or higher) can be installed simultaneously under Mac OS 10.8.5 (Mountain Lion) or Windows 7.Mac OS 10.9 (Mavericks) and higher, Windows 8/8.1 and Windows 10 are not supported for co-install. The following Avid video hardware is supported in a co-install environment:
- Pro Tools 12.3 to Pro Tools 12.4: Avid Open IO video peripheral support
- Pro Tools 11 and Pro Tools 12: Avid DX video peripheral support
- Pro Tools 10.3.6 (or higher): Avid Mojo SDI video peripheral support

Note:
- Pro Tools 10.3 may stop playback before a Pro Tools 11.1 system stops recording (see details)
- At this time Pro Tools 12, Pro Tools 11, Pro Tools 10.x and Media Composer can not all be co-installed at the time time. For a supported configuration install Pro Tools 11 or higher and 10.3.6 or higher, or install Pro Tools 11.x and Media Composer 7.x, or install Pro Tools 10.x and Media Composer 6.x.
- Known issue installing Pro Tools 11.x with Media Composer 6.5.4 and earlier (see details)
- Mojo DX and Nitris DX driver conflicts will occur between Media Composer and Pro Tools if correct versions are not installed (see details)
- On Windows-based systems there is a known issue using the ASIO driver with other 64-bit applications (see details)
- On Windows-based systems Pro Tools 11.1 and Media Composer co-install will not allow Media Composer to be a Video Satellite (see details)
- Pro Tools 11.0.3 and Media Composer 7.0.x co-install is NOT supported on Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks.
