This can occur if there is a folder named plug-ins in the root of the Applications folder. To resolve the issue browse to the Applications folder on the Mac and remove or rename the folder named plug-ins. Back up any additional plug-ins installed. Browse to Mac HD/Library/Application Support/Audio and move the plug-in folder to your desktop. This will back up any additional plug-ins installed. The plug-ins in this folder can be restored when the issue is corrected. Launch the Pro Tools Application. Check Mac HD/Library/Application Support/Audio to confirm that a new plug-ins folder has been created. Move any third party plug-ins or additional plug-ins from the backup plug-ins folder on your desktop to the newly created plug-ins folder in Mac HD/Library/Application Support/Audio. If this does not resolve the remove and reinstall Pro Tools when there is no plug-ins folder in the root of the Mac’s Application folder. |
