Important: If you are setting up a new or unconfigured AirPort base station, it will not appear in AirPort Utility for iOS until it has been configured in Wi-Fi Settings:

First, restart your iOS device and then see if the AirPort base station appears in AirPort Utility for iOS. To restart it, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.

1. Tap Settings, then tap Wi-Fi.
2. Under “Set up an AirPort base station,” tap the name of your base station.
3. Follow the onscreen instructions.
