Why does the Registration Window continue to pop up?

During the first launch after installing Pro Tools software, you should be presented with a "Welcome to Digidesign Product Registration" dialog that has 2 options:

• Select "I have a new Pro Tools system" and click "Next" to go through the registration process (boxed product that has not been registered yet).
• Select "I have upgraded my Pro Tools software" and click "Exit Registration" to close the window (software upgrade purchased online for an already registered system).

If you have registered your system or activated an upgrade you purchased online, you don't need to register it again.

Note: In some cases we have seen the registration window pop up repeatedly. If that happens you can manually delete the file(s):

• Mac OS X
  "DigidesignRegistration.app" or "ProToolsRegistration.app" (Macintosh HD/Applications/Digidesign/Pro Tools)
  "com.leadertech.powerReg.plist" (Macintosh HD/Users/[home folder]/Library/Preferences)

• Windows
  "DigidesignRegistration.exe" or "ProToolsRegistration.exe" (C:\Program Files\Digidesign\Pro Tools)

Deleting the file(s) will not change your registration or affect the Pro Tools program.
