Java for Mac OS X v10.6 Update 17 delivers improved security, reliability, and compatibility for Java SE 6. This update enables per-website control of the Java plug-in within Safari 5.1.9 or later, and supersedes all previous versions of Java for Mac OS X v10.6.

This release updates the Apple-provided system Java SE 6 to version 1.6.0_65 for Mac OS X v10.6.
