- Ensure each target Mac meets the minimum system requirements.
Note: An OpenCL graphics card is required. These articles provide information on compatible cards.
- Ensure each target Mac is up to date. Check for available updates by choosing Software Update from the Apple (?) menu.
- On your administrator Mac system, download each application from the Mac App Store. If you purchased volume licenses, you can download each application by entering one of the redemption codes provided.
- Deploy the applications to all of the target systems using Apple Remote Desktop, NetInstall, or NetRestore. When deploying, do one of the following:
- If no earlier version of Final Cut Studio is installed on the computer, copy Final Cut Pro X, Motion 5, and Compressor 4 to the Applications folder at the root level of your hard drive.
- If an earlier version of Final Cut Studio is already installed on the computer, first create a folder titled "Final Cut Pro" in the Applications folder at the root level of your hard drive. Then, copy Final Cut Pro X, Motion 5 and Compressor 4 to the "Final Cut Pro" folder you created.
- On each target Mac, open each new application. Then, check for additional content updates by choosing Software Update from the Apple (?) menu.
