iTunes Store: How to set up a bank card and add money to your account in China

On the App Store in China, you can choose to use a Chinese bank card to add credit to your App Store account (Apple ID). The following describes how to add money from your bank card.

Set up a bank card on a computer
Use an existing iTunes Store account (Apple ID)
- Open iTunes.
- From the Store menu, click View My Account.
- Click Edit to the right of Payment Type.
- Select the bank card logo and enter your billing address, then click Continue.
- Select the amount you would like to transfer into your iTunes Store account and select the bank card you would like the funds to be transferred from, then click Continue.
- Click Done. Your web browser will open your bank card’s website. Note: Some bank websites are not compatible with all browsers; you may need to copy and paste the URL for the bank card’s website into a different browser.
- Complete the instructions on the bank card’s website to complete the transfer.
Create a new iTunes Store account (Apple ID)
- Open iTunes.
- From the Store menu, click Create Account.
- Click Continue.
- Review the Terms & Conditions and check the box to agree to them, then click Agree.
- Fill out the form and click Continue.
- Click the Bank Card logo and enter your billing address, then click Create Apple ID.
- A verification email will be sent to the email address you provided. Click the Verify link in the email. If you do not receive the verification email, click the Resend Verification Email link in the iTunes Store.
- Once your email address has been verified, you will be returned to the iTunes Store. Select the amount you would like to add to your account and the bank card you would like the funds to be transferred from.
- Click Continue once you have selected the amount and preferred bank card.
- Click Done. Your web browser will open your bank card’s website. Note: Some bank websites are not compatible with all browsers; you may need to copy and paste the URL for the bank card’s website into a different browser.
- Complete the instructions on the bank card’s website to complete the transfer.
Set up a bank card on an iOS device
Use an existing iTunes Store account (Apple ID)
- Tap App Store.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and tap your Apple ID.
- Tap View Apple ID.
- Tap Payment Type.
- Tap Bank Card and tap Next.
- Tap the amount you would like to transfer to your iTunes Store account.
- Tap the bank card you would like to use to transfer the funds, then tap Next. Please note that only some banks allow money to be added using an iOS device. If your bank is not listed in the list of selectable banks, you will need to add money from a computer.
- Tap the authorization method you would like to use:
- Mobile Website
- Tap "Go to Bank Website."
- Safari will open the bank card’s website. Complete the transaction on your bank’s website. Once you are returned to the App Store, the transaction is complete.
- Mobile Phone (If you choose to use Mobile Phone you will need to ensure that your bank card has been set up for mobile phone authorization)
- Fill out the form and tap Next.
- Tap Next.
- You will receive a telephone call from your bank to authorize the transfer.
- Once authorized, the funds will be transferred to your iTunes Store account.

Create a new iTunes Store account (Apple ID)
- Tap App Store.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and tap Sign In.
- Tap Create Apple ID.
- Confirm that China is selected and tap Next.
- Review the Terms & Conditions and tap Agree. If you agree to the Terms & Conditions, tap Agree.
- Fill out the form to create your Apple ID.
- Tap Bank Card for your payment type. Then, enter your billing address and tap Next.
- A verification email will be sent to the email address you provided. Click the Verify link in the email.
- Safari will open and you will be asked to enter your Apple ID and password to verify the email address. Enter your Apple ID and password, then tap Verify Apple ID.
- Tap "Go to App Store."
- Tap the amount you would like to transfer to your iTunes Store account and tap the bank card you would like to use to transfer the funds. Then tap Next. Please note that only some banks allow money to be added using an iOS device. If your bank is not listed in the list of selectable banks, you will need to add money from a computer.

Viewing bank orders
How to view bank orders on a computer
- Open iTunes.
- From the Store menu, choose View My Account.
- Click View Bank Orders. Bank orders from the past 30 days will be displayed.
Bank orders can have the following statuses:
- Complete: This indicates that the order has successfully completed and your money is now available for the designated Apple ID.
- Pending: This indicates that the order is pending. You will be notified when the order is complete. Orders may take up to 10 days to process.
- Bank Error: This indicates that the order was not able to be completed due to a bank error. You will receive a bank order number as a reference. Please contact your bank for further assistance.
