Avid Pro Tools has been installed on an Avid DS system and it is no longer possible to open AAF files. This action opens the Pro Tools software instead of the Avid DS conform dialog.

A customer has experienced this problem and the solution is to uninstall Pro Tools and Avid DS, and reinstall Avid DS to properly register the AAF Toolkit component. When this is done, AAF files display with the expected aaf icon and open in the expected Avid DS conform property dialog.

We recommend to install and use Pro Tools on a separate computer to avoid this problem.
