When you upgrade from Logic Pro 7 to Logic Studio, Logic Pro 7 is left in place. Open an older song in Logic Pro 7 and save it. This will convert it to a format that Logic Pro 8 can open.
Note: Keep in mind that Logic Pro 7 requires an XSKey to run. After you upgrade from Logic Pro 7 to Logic Studio, be sure to keep your XSKey.
Logic Pro 9, MainStage 2, Soundtrack Pro 3, and WaveBurner 1.6 may quit unexpectedly when you open them. If this happens, an alert may appear and If you click Report you will see the following:
"Dyld Error Message:
Library not loaded: /Library/Frameworks/XSKey.framework/Versions/A/XSKey
Referenced from: /Applications/Application Name.app/Contents/MacOS/Application Name
Reason: image not found"
In the above alert, the name of the particular application you tried to open will appear in place of Application Name.
Logic Express 8, Logic Express 9.x, Logic Pro 8, Logic Pro 9.x, Logic Studio, Logic Studio (2009)
This can happen if the Audio Unit cache file is unusable. To resolve the issue:
- In the Finder, choose Go > Go to Folder from the menu.
- Type ~/Library/Caches in the "Go to the folder" field.
- Press the Go button
- Remove the "com.apple.audiounits.cache" file.
The next time you start Logic, the installed Audio Unit plug-ins will be rescanned and Logic should then startup normally.
