Symptoms

When you burn a disc with WaveBurner 1.5, you may see this alert message:

"The ISRC code entered doesn't conform to the expected format. Please use 12 characters without spaces or separators."

Products Affected

WaveBurner 1.5

Resolution

This message may appear even in some cases where the ISRC codes for all tracks contain 12 characters. The ISRC country code (the first two characters) must be uppercase to meet the ISO 3166 guideline. Also, any alphabetical characters in the Registrant code (characters 3-5 of the overall ISRC code) must be uppercase.

For example frz039800212 will fail, but FRZ039800212 will work. For more information on the ISRC specification, see the ISRC Handbook.

Note: WaveBurner 1.6.1 resolves this issue by automatically replacing lowercase letters with uppercase.
